2025-2026 PTO Appropriated Fund Overview

Appropriation is defined as setting aside money for a specific purpose. With that, the PTO has a specific line item in our budget titled “Appropriated Fund Expense.” The purpose of this budgeted item is to have money set aside to benefit the students of Livsey Elementary. Our current budgeted amount is $5,000 and these funds are available for Livsey Administrators, Teachers, Staff, Parents, Guardians, and/or Volunteers of the school to apply for. In order to be considered for receiving funds, you must apply using the attached form. Some items that have been funded through appropriations in the past are:

 

  • Lego League

  • Theater/Stage Sound System

  • Flexible Seating for Classrooms

  • Webcams

  • Storage Shed

  • Renovation

  • Clinic Refrigerator

  • Snow Cone Machine

  • Reading Materials

  • Mural Paintings & Sidewalk Art

  • Library Books

  • Music Stands

  • Gaga Court

 

The deadline for this year’s submission is March 9, 2026. Once forms have been received, they will be reviewed by the Appropriations Committee and recommendations will be made to the Livsey PTO Board. Then a vote shall be taken at the PTO Board Meeting on April 13, 2026 to pass or deny the recommendations. As with all PTO Board meetings, this meeting is open to the public.
