Common Questions

What are the school hours?

School begins at 8:00am and ends at 2:30pm.  Below is the daily schedule:

  • Buses arrive:  7:05-7:15 am

  • Car riders arrive: 7:15-8:00 am

  • Breakfast served: 7:15-7:45 am

  • Homeroom begins: 7:45 am

  • Tardy bell/Announcements: 8:00 am

  • Early checkout ends: 2:00 pm

  • Dismissal begins: 2:30 pm

  • Dismissal ends: 2:45 pm

How are students dismissed?

Buses Depart Livsey by 2:30 PM:  

  • Bus Routes are located on the Livsey Website and on the DCSD Website. 

  • Buses may be delayed during the first few weeks of school. We apologize for any delays.  

Car Riders: 2:30-2:45 PM  

  • Students should be picked up at the back of the school in the Carpool Circle between 2:30-2:45 PM.  

  • Cars will begin lining up along Livsey Road prior to dismissal.When approaching the Carpool Circle, be considerate of others and proceed to the farthest post.   

  • For safety, please  exit your vehicle. 

  • Please stop and give your student's name at the first post. 

  • Carpool will go slow the first few weeks of school. Please be patient and understanding. 

Walkers: 2:35-2:45 PM

  • Walkers should only be students or families that “walk” home.   

  • Parents are not permitted to park and walk up to the front of the building and wait in the dismissal area. Please use the Carpool Circle if you drive to the school to pick up your student.  

  • Students are dismissed from the front door near the flagpole from 2:35-2:45 PM.   

 

Where can I check grades and attendance records?

The DCSD Parent/Student Portal can be found at www.infinitecampus.com (or via the app). The following student information is needed to set up a Campus Parent Portal account:

  • DeKalb 7-digit Student Number (Provided by school registrar)

  • Student SSN (The school must enter Student SSN prior to creating an account)

  • Student Date of Birth

 

How can I get involved?

After joining the PTO, feel free to reach out to us and let us know what areas you have an interest in.  We have a variety of committees including fundraising committees, student activity committees, and service committees.  We can be reached at livseypto@gmail.com

Where can I find information about upcoming school events?

You can check up to date information on the PTO bulletin board located inside the front doors, sign-up to receive PTO e-mails by clicking the link on our website, sign-up for Remind texts by texting @livseypto to 81010, follow us on Facebook, or check out the "upcoming events" section on our website at www.livseypto.org. 

 

 

Is there an afterschool program?

Yes!  The ASEDP (After School Extended Day Program) is run by 2nd grade teacher Mrs. Garrison.  ASEDP runs on the days school is in session from 2:30pm to 6:00pm.  To find out more information or to register your student(s), please visit www.livseyes.dekalb.k12.ga.us/ASEDP.aspx

 

 

How do I add more money to my student’s lunch account?

To add more money into you student’s account, check purchase history, or make a payment visit www.schoolcafe.com
